http://www.truehiphop.tv Stetsasonic - Talkin all that jazz/1988. Stetsasonic was an American hip hop group formed 1981 in Brooklyn, New York. They are remembered as one of the first hip hop crews to use a live band, and their positive, uplifting lyrics have made the group forerunners of alternative hip hop and jazz rap. That just shows you're just not looking, dude.Plenty of gifted lyricists making music still, and with the internet it's even easier to find the good stuff than it was in the past, trading tapes and shit.No excuses, there's plenty of good music out there if you only listen for it.

One of the dopest beats of all time. Listen to how crispy those drums are when they drop.

yeah, true. it is a different scope though. If you look at the radio stations that were playing that stuff back then, college tradio etc...local stations. those types of stations dont play lil wayne nowadays. Also the MTV period of the ninteys was dope but you know, shit moves on...there will always be more records of acertain period than you can buy.The amount of old flavor still lingering out there on internet and in old record stores is huge.i spend hours on that and its still iceberg tip.
ostione (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
dude, you must not have many records to think that their aint no conscious hip hop goin on right now. Listen dude, im so flooded with that stuff nowadays,im starting to get bored.PS: there is a huge hiphop scene in your country, so i dont know why your ethnic origins or nationality would make a differnce in your opinion.

And then what? Does that bring back any of the beautiful flows and lyrics of the past? Fuck no. I have "the records". Partly they're still up to date but that doesn't mean nobody should do lyrics that have a meaning anymore.Fucking Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy are what brings Rap down. Nobody wants to listen to that shit but everybody seems to buy it. Fuck. Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck. Seriously. Bring back the PRT and shit. And I'm not even black. And I'm from Germany. OH SHIT WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON.
